All employees must successfully complete a Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) fingerprint-based background check.

Important: This background check must be coordinated through HAND N HAND Home Care. Applicants should not independently obtain a fingerprint background check unless specifically instructed to do so by our office.

The background check must meet the requirements applicable to our agency and the programs in which we participate.

Employees are required to maintain a current CPR certification.

We accept CPR certifications obtained through:

• An in-person CPR certification course, or

• A hybrid course that includes both online instruction and an in-person skills component

Fully online CPR certifications are no longer accepted.

Applicants must provide documentation of a valid CPR certification before employment requirements can be completed.

All employees must have a current TB test on file.

Your TB test does not have to be completed specifically for HAND N HAND Home Care. If you have recently completed a TB test through another employer, healthcare provider, or qualified facility and have a current copy of the documentation, you may submit that documentation for review.

If your TB documentation is not current, you will be required to obtain an updated test.

A completed HAND N HAND Home Care employment application is required.

Applicants must provide complete and accurate information and submit all requested documentation as part of the hiring process.

Applicants must provide valid identification, such as:

• A valid driver’s license

• A state-issued identification card

• A valid passport

• Other acceptable government-issued identification, as applicable

Identification must be current and legible.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must provide appropriate documentation verifying employment eligibility as required by federal law.

Because our caregivers provide services in clients’ homes and may be required to travel between locations, employees must have reliable personal transportation and the ability to consistently report to assigned work locations.

Transportation arrangements must allow you to arrive on time and fulfill your scheduled assignments.

Employees are required to have access to a working mobile device, such as a smartphone, that can support the electronic systems required for their position.

HAND N HAND Home Care uses an electronic verification system for services, including required clock-in and clock-out procedures.

Employees must be able to use their mobile device to complete required electronic verification and timekeeping responsibilities.

W-2 Employment

HAND N HAND Home Care employees are hired as W-2 employees.

We do not offer independent contractor/1099 arrangements for these positions.

Employees are expected to complete all required employment and payroll documentation and comply with applicable employment policies and procedures.

Compliance With State Requirements

Because we provide services within programs regulated by the Georgia Department of Community Health and other applicable authorities, employees must be willing and able to comply with all applicable:

• State and federal requirements

• Department of Community Health regulations

• Program-specific requirements

• Background screening requirements

• Training and certification requirements

• Documentation requirements

• Agency policies and procedures

• Client-care requirements

Employment and continued employment are contingent upon maintaining all required credentials, certifications, screenings, documentation, and eligibility.
